My name is Scott Fisher, a thirty three year old from New Jersey starting my first year and course for Arizona State University. I started this course with a passion for writing with the hopes of expanding my knowledge on writing well. I have applied everything I have learned from this course with the pursuit of bringing more structured, planned, and cohesive elements to my compositions, and with this I present my final body of work. I have accomplished learning how to plan for compositions, having the opportunity to practice and be successful at learning how to create a rough draft, and bring more techniques into brainstorming that have been affective thus far in my journals and writing projects. I have always wanted to give myself the time to explore my writing and what it means to me, and through this time, I have taken away a vast set of skills that I will be applying in my future writing compositions.
My future goals as a writer would be to expand and explore more on the subjects I would like to write about, and why I would like to write about them. I have found through my writing in this course that I particularly enjoy writing about personal experiences, such as in my Auto-Ethnography where I wrote about my passion of fly fishing. I would like to see what else I may want to write about in that field, and possibly about it in my future goal in obtaining a degree in Fisheries Biology.
